  10.     UNANM unpacks ANM animation files from PClones into frames. Each
  11.     frame is stored as an 8-bit IFF file, which can then be converted
  12.     to HAM or some other Amiga format before recombination into an
  13.     Amiga GL file. This is a KS2.0 program.

  18.     REQUIREMENTS

  20.     KS2.0 and Christian Weber's iff.library are essential. The latter
  21.     is available from amiga.physik.unizh.ch and its mirrors, or from
  22.     Fish disk #674.

  25.     USAGE

  27.     The usage template is:
  28.  
  29.     FROM/A,INFO/S,SAVECONTROL/K
  30.  
  31.     The FROM option is the name of the ANM you want to unpack. The
  32.     frames will be stored in the current directory with names of the
  33.     form NNN, where NNN is the frame number. This number counts from
  34.     one.

  36.     The INFO option will make UNANM quit after displaying the header
  37.     information.
  38.  
  39.     The SAVECONTROL option specifies the name of a "control" file to
  40.     use. This file is a GL animation script file, which may need some
  41.     editing. The basic structure is specific to the way I convert
  42.     animations.

  45.     USEFUL UTILITIES

  47.     Ed Hanway's HamLabPlus is very handy for converting the frames
  48.     from 8-bit pictures to a more usual Amiga format.

  50.     My GL package can be used to create an Amiga GL file out of the
  51.     frames, as well as play the resulting animation.

  56.     UNANM is written by John Bickers using SAS C 6.2.

  58.     The ANM file format was created by Dan Jacobson.

  60.     Christian A. Weber's iff.library is used for saving ILBM files.

  62.     The format of an ANM file was obtained by looking at a sample
  63.     file, GUSHER.ANM.

  70.     Distribution is via normal channels. That is, distribute it for
  71.     free, or for Fred Fish like costs, but not more. And remember to

  76.     received in a spirit of pronounced no-enthusiasm unless
  77.     accompanied by a donation of some sort.
